Kansas City Kansas Public Schools has one goal — each student will exit high school prepared
for college and careers in a global society, and at every level,
performance is on-track and on-time for success.
With Diploma+, each student will have the opportunity to earn a
high school diploma, along with at least one of the seven
Diploma+ endorsements.
At the middle school level, our focus is to prepare students for high
school and beyond. Through the Diploma+ college and career
readiness experiences at the middle school level, students will be
able to explore all the possible college and career opportunities
that are available to them. These experiences will help students
navigate the high school enrollment process, which includes
selecting a career pathway that best fits each students’ skills,
interests, and future goals. Students will also begin to work on a
plan for post-secondary success using the knowledge they gain
from participating in a variety of in and out-of-school experiences.
We already have some exciting events on our calendar for this
year, including our annual Career Jumping for 6th grade
(October 16th), Career Speakers for 7th grade (November 6th)
and our annual Post-Secondary Planning Day for 8th grade
(January 22nd). Please feel free to reach out to me via email:
